Meet The Owners

Sh'ron D. Henderson

Entrepreneur | Cosmetology Educator | Mentor

I am Sh’ron D. Henderson, a devoted servant of the Most High God, a loving wife, and a proud mother of five. My journey in the beauty industry began at the tender age of eight, when I felt a calling to become a hairstylist and serve my community.

In June 2006, I graduated from Patterson Career Center with training in cosmetology. I furthered my education by earning an Associate’s degree in Business Management and Marketing, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Entrepreneurship from DeVry University. My career as a cosmetology educator has included training at esteemed institutions such as Paul Mitchell The School Cincinnati.

I am the proud owner of Wisdom Beauty Salon, where I lead a team of talented stylists and provide top-tier services to our clients. Throughout my journey in the beauty industry, I discovered a passion for mentoring and training other professionals. This inspired me to launch 5 Star Salon Academy, the hub for beauty industry education. Our platform provides comprehensive training for aspiring beauty professionals and personal business coaching for industry veterans.

As a serial entrepreneur, I manage multiple businesses simultaneously with a "can-do" mindset. I firmly believe that the Most High God grants us the desires of our hearts, but it requires diligent effort. My motto, “Faith without works is dead,” reflects my commitment to continuous hard work and growth.

My journey is ever-evolving, and I am excited about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. I remain dedicated to inspiring and leading within the beauty industry, knowing that there is always more work to be done.

Meet Candis Hamilton

I am Candis Hamilton bka Instructor Candi.

I've been in the beauty industry, certified and professionally since 2011. I've provided exceptional nail services and nail artistry for the last 11 years.

Along my journey, I mastered the practice and science of proper acrylic application. I have made an array of custom products,
custom colored acrylic powders, and custom acrylic nail sets. I am now a beauty educator, serial entrepreneur, and rising beauty inspiration in my community.

I am the Sole Owner of Nails by Candi LLC and Part Owner/Vice President and Lead Nail Program Educator of 5 Star Salon Academy. The name will ring bells globally!

Our Shining Star Campaign

At 5 Star Salon Academy, we’re dedicated to shaping the next generation of beauty and barbering professionals. Located in Dayton, Ohio, our academy provides students with the hands-on training, industry knowledge, and mentorship they need to build successful, fulfilling careers.

But talent alone shouldn’t determine a student’s future — access should, too.

That’s why we’ve launched the Shining Star Campaign — a scholarship initiative designed to provide financial assistance to passionate, hard-working students who need support to pursue their dreams.
