Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a nationally recognized certification course that teaches individuals how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges. This one-day training covers common mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, and substance abuse, while providing participants with a 5-step action plan to offer initial support and connect people to professional resources. It’s ideal for anyone who works closely with the public—including educators, beauty professionals, healthcare workers, and community leaders.
The training is offered in both virtual and in-person formats, including a brief self-paced module followed by a 6–7 hour instructor-led session. Upon completion, participants earn a certification valid for three years. Â
